Padre Pio, was a Capuchin Friar, Priest, stigmatic and Roman Catholic mystic. He bore the stigmata for most of his life, communicated with angels, had the gift of reading souls, the ability to bilocate and to heal.

Saint Padre Pio was a beloved Italian Capuchin friar and mystic who lived from 1887 to 1968. His real name was Francesco Forgione, and he was known for his remarkable devotion to spirituality and his extraordinary gifts of healing, prophecy, and the stigmata. He was canonized in 2002 by Pope John Paul II and has since become one of the most popular saints in the Catholic Church.
Padre Pio was born in Pietrelcina, Italy. Even as a young child, his piety was so great that he was known to pray for hours on end. He entered the Capuchin Order in 1903 and was ordained a priest in 1910. He was known for his great devotion to penance and prayer, and was said to have had visions of Jesus, Mary and the angels. He was also said to have been able to bilocate and read souls.
